I've already decided that if they are cute & "petite" or near "runt-scale" that they are 99.9% likely a male.
I hatched out 12 Bobs, only 2 girls.... needless to say those girls can have their pick of mates though, they don't hafta settle for the ugly midget bird with 3 eyes & 1 nut.....

Genetics doesn’t work like that anymore. Nowadays things that happen to you during life can turn traits on and off (and not just stuff like getting stung by a radioactive spider). It’s all very fluid and confusing and mysterious.

Between the blood loss from hitting a blood vessel when he pipped and the drop on his head? Those could easily cause stunted growth.

Edit: Those might also be the reason he's not the brightest bird in the brooder...

This is not crunchy but I believe crunchy is a boy because he is small.
