➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

You might be right but then you were sure your Big Boy was a hen because he was big.
You are right.

I'm sitting here watching the babies now.
Looks like the rusty chest one is the biggest.
I am waiting for them to calm down so I can get pictures.

I have not been messing with these babies enough.
They do not like me.

funny that seems to happen with your eggs

This is not crunchy but I believe crunchy is a boy because he is small.
Ah, that's how it was with "TinyTot" of mine. He's made a good roo so far, and he's not rough on the ladies like some seem to be. :pop

:confused:I think it just depends on the birds. Some flush up & :hebash their little brains out when I open the cages, others come running and hop up on my hands & arms like they :lovemissed me soooo bad all day!
They are rightfully afraid that you are going to eat them.

:oops:Is there a "feathering" difference between Egyptian boys & girls?

I believe the more I mess with my quail as babies the tamer they are as adults.
Every single batch I've hatched has proved my theory right.
The ones I mess with a lot are calm.
The ones I don't mess with a lot...freak out.

Your males should have a solid chest..rusty.

Girls will have spots.

I think I maybe just mess with & handle certain birds more than others.
