I think I maybe just mess with & handle certain birds more than others.I believe the more I mess with my quail as babies the tamer they are as adults.
Every single batch I've hatched has proved my theory right.
The ones I mess with a lot are calm.
The ones I don't mess with a lot...freak out.
Your males should have a solid chest..rusty.
Girls will have spots.
