➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

For the 2 grow out batches, the males are not crowing nor foaming. Confirmed with the butchering that the whites aren't telling me their intentions. Afraid I will weigh and have to keep the largest plus a couple extras to get a couple females for the breeder set.

The bleached one is large and is a girl. She may be kept.

For fertility, any concerns with year old males? MyShire said 6 months for boys and 12 months for girls. I'm pushing the limit here.

:confused:Is that a Pearl or Snowy?
How do y'all get wild~type tuxedos? :oldI've never got a single one like that, only Tibetan, Silver, or Rosetta'ish (red ones). I only breed my tuxes with other tuxes.
I think we need a new poll @Kiki and probably time to total the 2019 hatches and get ready for the new year!! I think the next ones due are NYD??
:popMy next hatch of my eggs isn't due until the 6th.
I'll finalize the 2019 sheet/numbers today or tomorrow AND get the new sheet ready to go... With more detailed info.
I have not been so good at keeping this year's sheet updated so everyone take a quick look and let me know if I am missing anything.
:oldYou've been awesome!
:celebrateGood job!
:jumpy:bun:highfive:
125 quail is my final number. Can you believe that we are slowly coming up on 1 year of quailness?
Time flies like an arrow.
Fruit flies like a banana.
I have to slow down to prevent having to build more coops. 10 butchered this morning, about to wind down for winter. 13 to go. Saving 12 for eggs next year.
:droolI butchered 7 a couple days ago, I've got to decide what I want to do with the rest of these males.
:idunnoAnyone else having trouble getting your jumbo eggs fertile, my roos aren't being successful with my jumbo hens?
:frowYes, "we" are a flock of enablers here on this forum!

If I can figure out which one of these males is the one that's crowing I'm going to put him in a cage with six girls.
And then I will eat one male and little crunchy which will leave one male and two females left in this cage.
Probably "Crunchy" that's crowing!:lau
I have two incubators, one is cleaned out, & ready for eggs. Yes, I wanna hatch some, jumbo brown coturnix Japanese.
I bet someone has some of those!:pop
Set 7, 7 hatched, Mexican Speckeled Bob's.

:lau New game....type in “in 2020 I’ll”.....and let your phone finish it! Here’s mine.....In 2020 I’ll get to see y’all!!

"In 2020 I'll have a couple more days to go back and try again...."

What the crap? I don't want to do all this over again!!!

A year old is ok in my opinion.
