GQF turners are made a little different from Little Giant turners...if I remember right I don't believe they are interchangeable?

Both...neither quail, pheasant, geese, duck, dove, parakeet or chicken. Just never had a bird lay a double.

I think I have only gotten two double yolk chicken eggs, back when they first started laying.
I am not sure this second big egg I set is a double but I'd bet it is.
The other one I opened.
So two chicken and two quail so far.
All from brand new layers.

I've gotten them, several from this one jumbo quail.

I think it's become more of a regular thing with Cots. Since they have been breeding them for "Jumbo" everything, seems that more peeps report getting doubles with their Cot quail.

So just like standard chickens then. Now I'll have to tell my husband they're edible. I was looking at OEGB's

I butcher them up just like everyone else! The cockerels are huge from being so well fed. Tender fried & used part in the dumplings too! Waste not want not.
