Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
So, it'd be better if only 1 yolk is fertile then?

:barnieI need more quail rails then!
Those aren't cheap either, dadgumit!:he
Will my rails fit in your turner?
I have an extra one piece.

The one I cracked open...only one of the yolks was fertilized and it wasn't quite two yolks. They were joined together..
I am hoping to be able to tell, when candling, if I can see two yolks in this one I set.
I'm just doing it to learn.
I want to see what I can see inside it.

Makes sense. Good plan! :D

Gotcha!

But all bantams are probably bad for meat, right
not necessarily.....with silkies having black skin and bones and even getting around that, the breast was ok, but there was a kinda displeasing texture to the leg/thigh meat....(i think we butchered 4 total smoked and fried preparation)

GQF turners are made a little different from Little Giant turners...if I remember right I don't believe they are interchangeable?

In all the years of raising/hatching birds, I have never had a "double yolker"....I must not be living right!
Never had one laid or never hatched one?
