Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
If I could just figure out how to put pieces of wood together where my cage is not so heavy then maybe I would just build another one.
When do we start?

To make it lighter use 1x4 boards instead of 2x4. I mixed but like the 1x4s. A little wobbly going together, but once completed, I really like it.

Those are the ones I was thinking of. I said the wrong thing before. I don’t even know what the heck a 2x3 is :lau

Use aluminum angle iron and bolt them together. It will be much lighter than wood.

I wonder if the home Depot parking lot guys could build one for me real quick.... If I just walked out of the store with the supplies.

Yes. It is a 2'x2' box as long as you want it. Staple hardware cloth on it. Add legs, dividers, and doors.

I put wood around one end for an enclosed portion, but no reason too.

Google homemade rabbit cage and do the same with J-clips or hog rings. Build a frame and suspend like your current battery of coops.

Oh look it’s our exotic ‘Green Bobwhite Quail’

Hoping to incubate her eggs once she starts laying!
