More pics, please! These sound fascinating. I wonder if there are any in North America.

There may be some over there! These birds are primarily a family member of mines venture, he’s into his Turacos and tropical birds a lot. I’m into my Silkies and Quails but these are definitely pretty to open your blinds to on a morning and see! (And hear!).

There’s a lot of them I’ve never taken photos of due to how skittish they are and they stress easily but here’s a few photos I have!

Amazing. I love my chickens, but more exotic bird species are my favourites.

Amazing. I love my chickens, but more exotic bird species are my favourites.

They definitely do have a bit more about them, the colours on tropical birds are gorgeous!

We’ve had Lilac Breasted Rollers and Azure Magpies too (plus others in the past) but he’s mainly focusing on the Turacos. I believe the Violaceous Turacos are on a ‘list’ where if a zoo requests them for breeding we have to comply or help them with our birds etc.

Similar how some tortoise and turtle species are also under similar rules if you have them as pets.

No way. Those are #1 on my list of birds-I'd-get-if-I-won-the-lottery.

Oh yea...the price on them is the only not so pretty part!

Also, there’s no guarantee they’ll even breed!
