i’m only @ 3 so far.....#1 in brooder, #2 I popped the cap off and #3 was only a few minutes behind him....this hatch seems to be similar to others with only a couple on day 17, most on day 18, and a few stragglers on 19,20.......so
all 3 are PF.....no buttons out yet

If I have 21 fertile eggs out of 21 eggs set, I have an issue. Wasn't planning on this good a hatch rate. Still planning on a full turner next month. 4 eggs a day x 11 days of collection = 44 eggs.

This will be interesting. Wonder if I will get 100% hatch rate twice in a row. Hmm.

Did all 21 eggs hatch, as well? Even though it was only 21 eggs, that's really good. I usually get about 80-90% hatch from fertile eggs. That's based on my candling the eggs when moved to lockdown.

Well, after moving 84 eggs to hatch this past Wednesday, not a single eggs hatched on Friday or Saturday. Saturday was expected hatch day but, I've usually got eggs that begin on Friday night. Woke up this morning (Sunday) to 2 birds hatching. Not quite out yet but, they were clearly going to make it. Now, before I left for work, there were 12 that were hatched, out and dry with fluffy feathers. Another 5 that were exiting the eggs and also clearly going to make it. I'm hoping that I get home from work at 7am to a hatcher full of birds to move to the brooder. I have an order of 50 birds that I need to fill.

2 more have hatched. I should go to bed soon. I have to get up extra early because someone posted a free coop perfect for quail on craigslist and I want to get it before work.

After 2 batches of infertile, I am tickled with any & ecstatic that all 21 were (mostly) fertile. A couple of the darker ones were I don’t know, but counted anyway.

I did that, as well. Out of the 84 I moved to hatch, about 5 were maybe's. Too dark to tell but, didn't want to risk it.

hard to count but looks like 4-6 more coturnix hatched overnight and 3 buttons!! will hopefully be able to get pics tonight
