➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

@Kiki
My sister-in-law got my wife and I a hanging wooden carving that says something along the lines of "Smith Family Established October 10, 2006". Then, also has each of our names carved into it.
It's absolutely gorgeous and she says was very expensive. Well, I got to point it out on Christmas morning to my SIL that we were married October 11, 2006. She then informs me that it was my wife who told her the date. LOL It can't be fixed so, we have a carving on our wall that reminds everybody that my wife didn't remember her wedding date.

I have never had such a waterer accident prone batch of chicks like these. One suicided under it, and today I hope I rescued one that was soaked and barely moving behind it this morning. I picked it up and held it under the heat lamp until it started to dry out and move. It wasn't completely dry when I left for work, but it was moving and burrowing under the rest of the chicks, so I have hopes that it will survive.

I had one do that at around 3-4 days old. I used a blow dryer on low to dry it most of the way then put it under the light on a heating pad. It's fine now :cool:

I’ve gone quiet on this thread because I’m still waiting for eggs from this pair, hoping they come soon 🤞🏻

Anyways, it was clean out day today...

Incubator in lockdown. Unlike the last group, not a lot in drawdown. Temperature appears to have trended lower than last time where it was high and unstable. Had to change rooms and it appears the temperature is holding on the lower side of 99.

No internal pips. Some appearing to be close to drawdown.

Remind me again, low temperature lead to more or less deformations?
