I was adding them at set and hatch.

I promise I will get around to updating it today.

No worries. I tagged you to make things a little easier. So you don't have to read every thread to get your numbers. I'll begin doing this for you when I post numbers. I'm setting 120eggs/week, now.

19 look good
4 are maybes
6 look like clears or quitters

Hello all! I’m new to quail. I purchased 15 JMF Pharaoh Jumbo eggs and I am now on day 2 of incubating. Hoping to get quail for eggs and eating and I am planning to hatch eggs regularly. do you guys have any specific days you recommend candling? I’m trying to disturb them the least possible and my humidity varies a lot quickly when I open it. So I was thinking of just candling at lockdown, or not at all.

The day 1-14 humidity and even temperature dips for candling don’t have a huge effect on hatch rate....if small batches....I candle at day 4, 10, and 14 typically sometimes more and other times less.

My third quail hatch is now on lockdown. Out of 120 eggs set to incubate, I set 108 in lockdown. I'm very happy with that number. My last hatch out of 107 eggs in incubator, 74 hatched. I'm hoping to get, at least, 80 out of this one. I've got a second turner running now and expecting weekly hatches.

Every one of my next 3 hatches is already pre-sold with deposits made. Then, every other 1 after that is sold through April. Good year, so far, for quail sales.

@Kiki when do you add the numbers to your list? When they're set, when they hatch or both?
