I need to ask him what he thinks of keeping with the high protein feed and giving calcium on the side.I can't help myself when I see someone from BYC on the live I have to say something.
I've been doing real good and not trying to answer everyone's questions over there.
I really wish some of those people would join on here...especially the ones in my area.
Slightly windy this afternoon but no power outages thankfully....Hey, @Kiki , did y'all lose power today?
Clear skies here but high winds came up around 3:30pm, loss power...loss 3 cabinet incubators of eggs!Power just came back on at 8:15pm. Going to candle after the temps stabilize but not holding too much hope, probably loss them all.

Day 17...another week to go!Oh boy on the eggs.
Crossing my fingers they make it.
What day are you on?
The bad storms went North of us last night, no rain even here. This wind just came out of nowhere! Guessing it blew some trees over into the power lines...it covered a pretty wide area of outage.Slightly windy this afternoon but no power outages thankfully....
I would have died from a heat stroke if I lost the air conditioner for sure.
Where are the eggs at in incubator stage? I had a batch that was out of power for at least 5 hours before I got the generator up and running, but they were at 1 week in, they all survived. Hopefully you won't have a huge loss!Hey, @Kiki , did y'all lose power today?

Well....I pulled another 2 clears from my Buttons, leaves 8 for lockdown tomorrow. I can't wait for their hatch day!
My single duckling that hatched has something wrong with it, almost seems like wry neck or something. I'm at a loss for what to do for the little thing. I'm hoping my next group of duck eggs does better next week.
No I didn't, I had a Bobwhite with wry neck last year and I treated it with vit e, selenium and brewer's yeast. It recovered fully, so I've just been doing the same for Ducky. He's acting normal right now.If it's wry neck, I think you're supposed to give them vitamins for that, but I don't remember what... did you post in the emergencies thread?
