I was never able to see much through them, but I'm still not a candling expert. I'm getting better, though!

Yes, it seems okay. Tired of course, but it did move when I put it into the brooder. I’ll keep checking, but it’s not bleeding, and fought to hatch for over 24 hours. It’s a nutty nut quail.

They were in a quail egg box, wrapped in cotton wool inside the egg box, then that box was wrapped in thick newspaper and put inside another box. They were pretty well packed, just they were delayed by 1 day and the postman wasn’t happy about having to redeliver them and threw them on our doorstep and caved one side of the box in ☹

When I candled early on, there were some see through bluish clears and some pinkish kinda clears.... my pinkish kinda clears are the ones that developed. Later they were just dark with a bluish aircell.

I would expect that to take much less time to incubate. It also presents the problem of hand feeding if it does hatch.
