Don't get the carpet tiles. They often have a bit of adhesive. You want your chicks to get a grip, not get stuck.

You can clean the stuff with holes in the washing machine or dish washer.
Good idea!! Thanks!! Is the adhesive on the carpet side too I’m assuming or just the back?

And thanks!! I never thought of that!!! Not sure if it would up to that since it’s just dollar store stuff but idk.

Splitz seems to be getting around much better on the grippy stuff and even managed to climb in the feeder (switched to a real feeder so feed wouldn’t go under the grippy) all by itself!!! :woot :celebrate

Still a bit split but gonna keep trying some cup therapy and hopefully now that it’s easier for it to walk in there it will keep strengthening its legs on its own too. :fl

Yeah I was wondering about that!!! But then again the grippy shelf liner with all the holes and stuff seems like it would also be super hard to clean!!! I guess I figured at only $1 each they would be easy to replace or shake out?? Idk. Probably a bad idea though?

I just figured they’d be super grippy at least.

But I was worried their little toes would get caught too. I’ll probably end up using it for something else.

Shelf liner is non-porous which means you can spray or rinse it off. A carpet is porous. All the liquid from their poop would soak in and become a breeding ground for disease.:sick

Good point!! Didn’t think of that. That sounds nasty. 🤮🤮🤮

And they sure poop a lot!!! The liner already has so much poop on it and it made it really hard to get cute pictures!!! Hahaha

That's why you buy a roll and cut a bunch of pieces to fit. That way you can change them out frequently and do one wash batch for several clean ones.

Speaking of which.....

Why are they so cute!?!? 😭😭

I think the little silvery ones are my favorites!!! There’s like 2-3 of those I think. Or maybe the yellow ones are. Or the super redhead ones. Idk. I love them all. :lau 🙈🙈 the one little yellow one is so tiny!!!

Good idea!!! I just put two full ones in and folded it a bit at the end. There wasn’t much extra though. Pieces seem like a better idea though.

But I bought a bunch of them.
