20% chicken layer crumble feed. M-G brand. It's what the local feed store carries.

I have the 24% starter crumble. So maybe I’ll mix that with 16% layer crumble.

I’ve had zero aggression using the 24%. I’m actually shocked how well mine get along. I heard about scalping and everything before I got these and was terrified. Mine all get along. Even the 8 week old. I thought it was a male but I haven’t heard a crow.

I have horrible scalping problems. Even between hens. My boy in there is so sweet, and I had three hens get scalped in 2 days. One actually lost an eye and two went past their skin.

Give extra niacin occasionally. Some of the chicken feed needs a little boost on the niacin.

Sorry to hear that. I had 3 get scalped when the selected males went to 9 weeks and they went bonkers. Both went to the refrigerator. Lost 2 females and last got better. She still had skin left. Amazing what these birds can survive.
