Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
Okay, thanks. Unfortunately not buttons (too small to be worth culling the male's but so pretty <3 ) I just didn't know if suddenly moving and turning them upright would mess any up that were pipping

One should always handle hatching eggs with care and not use sudden movements no matter the stage of development.

No it won’t hurt anything just as long as you are careful when handling them

Okay, yeah I'm always super careful with eggs but I incubate sideways and I didn't want to turn them upright if that would hurt them

I don't see any pips in the remaining eggs, is it safe to candle them again tonight if they still don't have pips? (Light candle, not water)
General rule is 48 hours after the first one hatches. Assuming they all started at the same time. Staggered hatches give them 72 hours from the estimated hatch time.

If your incubator has forced air, this is close. Still air incubators may have a cold spot that will vary the hatching times. You can rotate the eggs around the incubator if you are hand turning to compensate.

Candling is fine. Watch for movement, the chick may be sleeping.

That's what I had planned. Will all the ones that are ready to hatch be filled up mostly?

Just asking because lately I've seen a lot of posts about people with eggs that are alive but undeveloped
