The chicks in the brooder should be fine. Give them a little house (upsidedown cardboard box with a little cut-out door), put them in. If they're cold they'll cuddle together. Hot-water bottles in/on the bator. Wrap it in towels/jackets/blankets; pray for the power to come back on. Do you have a generator, for power outages, camping, etc.?Power just went out, brooder light and bator along with it...it’s humid and in the 80s but this is bad...
Would you guys recommend Celadon quail? What type of pen do you raise them in?

No, I do not recommend Celadon. From what I know and I've never tried to raise them so take this for what it's worth (very little), the genetics haven't been isolated (perfected) so there is a large effort to keep the celadon gene expressed. Meaning, just because you get Celadon eggs, doesn't mean all the babies will lay blue eggs. Nor all the males will pass it on.Would you guys recommend Celadon quail? Breed and select then cull. Breed and select then cull. If this project sounds exciting, go for it. Just remember to have fun.
Selective breeding means individual breeder cages so you can track the parents. Search on rabbit breeding cages for an idea about size and layout, but you will need smaller mesh sizes. Select one that appeals to you.
The blue eggs are neat. Just like the blue egg chicken layers, they are very popular and an oddity. Fun to present them to people. Unlike the coloration, the egg genes have to be seen as laid eggs. The adults must mature and only after breeding, will you know if the males are a carrier and passing it to their children. If you select a male and his babies don't lay blue eggs, you have 4 months minimum invested in the male. I'm impressed with people with the patience to pursue this endeavor.
Best wishes!
