I had one born black (actually a few but I only kept one) and jet black feet, but now that it’s an adult more or less, its just normal Rosetta looking with minimal lacing, not an elaborate flashy look, but she definitely didn’t stay black :-(

The ones that look black as chicks with the black feet are usually tibetans. The ones that I'm hatching now have a chance for actual black, so I'm hoping.

4/1/2020 HG 21 set, 20 fertile, 2 EQ, 18 hatched
5/18/2020 HG 35 set, 33 fertile, 6 EQ, 27 hatched
5/18/2020 Kiki’s Pansy Fee 22 set, 22 fertile, 2 EQ, 20 hatched
6/21/2020 HG 69 set, 63 fertile, 4 EQ, 59 hatched
7/19/2020 HG 54 set, 45 fertile, 4 EQ, 41 hatched
7/26/2020 FloorCandy’s Celadon 57 set, 48 fertile, 10 EQ, 38 hatched

Anyone else have a huge spike in interest from people looking to buy chicks as preparation for the impending apocalypse? I can’t hatch fast enough this year...

Oh, absolutely. I'm going to have to get more eggs because 30 of this hatch are already sold, and I only had 54 make it to lockdown.

Yeah I’m fairly certain my solid black must be a Tibetan.

but these two bottom ones in this collage are looking DEFINITELY like solid black tuxedo.

@Nabiki how much you sell these kinds of colors for? I put an ad on CL for 10 for $25 and had four replies this morning immediately.

I live in SuperExpensiveLand, so people think my prices are good. I sell straight run chicks for $5 each, roos for $7, hens for $15. Celadon roos are $10, hens that lay celadon eggs are $25.

Could you give me some tips and just kind of inform me about incubating quail eggs? I have read articles about them but they make no sense, I got my first quail egg, an unsure whether to incubate it once mine is here :|

What do u mean they have a chance for actual black o.o is it a morph ? If so do u knownthe name this sounds awesome any adult pics ?

I know nothing about hatching quail (and don’t plan to) but that’s fine I’m watching this thread anyway
