Kiki passed away today. Not @Kiki ! My roommate's button quail Kiki. We're not sure what happened, it looked like she went to sleep and didn't wake up.

He told me, that it was a foreign country order and delivery was anounced much earlier ...
... I am so happy with it and so proud of my son for the idea ... so I need to share it:

Curse of seven?

I put 14 candled eggs into the incubator. Right now, I have eight hatched with one that will likely not make it. Despite all my precautions covering the fan, it got stuck by burrowing under it and getting a leg caught in the plastic blade.

My last two hatches have been seven, regardless of how many eggs first went in. It is still very early though, just day 17.

I'd take them out now. The brooder should be about the same temp as the incubator, and with less humidity, they'll dry out fast.
