➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

I opened the kalmbach bag today and it is very light in color like the Hudson compared to the country roads meatbird (in the purple feeder) waiting to see what the birds think, but I fear they aren’t going to like it 😭😭😭

It’s quality feed. Since when is one worried about the feed color.

Mine love it! Took them a day to get used to the change but they vacuum it right out of the feeder and off the floor.

I ended up with 30 chicks from the 54 I set for the last hatch. I mixed up my eggs though so I don't know which are homegrown and which are from southwest, doh. I guess I'll figure it out once they start growing since my chicks won't be jumbo.

I tweaked my incubator to hopefully fix the hot and cold spots so I'm going to set more eggs for the EHAL tomorrow.

Next time draw on the eggs.
I've used pencil and I've used permanent marker to number or label each egg.
