I've never used quart waterers for grown birds. My adults drink out of a bucket but then I don't have quail.

I use the quart waterers when deworming. I remove their regular waterer and replace it with the quart waterer/Safeguard or Valbazen.

I have never dewormed and have never seen any evidence of a worm problem in my flock.

I candled before lockdown this time.. pulled out quite a few clears. I expected that because my Italian male has 12 hens AND he seems a bit clumsy but the ladies are patient, at least

108 of 119 eggs made it to lockdown. Shipped eggs, at that. We'll see how many hatch. I love how steady it is on the temperature and humidity.
