Hm... okay. Then I will need to do even more research it seems I haven't really been able to replicate any stable values other than 25%, 55%, or 75%, and that seems independent of quantity of water added (I read it has more to do with surface area than quantity of water anyway, and I've experimented with most of the wells at this point). Maybe I'll try a bowl of water instead... Although that would be dangerous during lockdown/hatching so I would have to find another method for those days anyway.

I don't follow the incubator rules.

I don't use trays either.

I'm really excited for my 12 jumbo eggs coming today! I ordered a colour mutations mix. These include pearl fee,( My favourite ) Falb fee, silver, Tuxedo pied, and varied celadon mutations
It also includes eggs from a beautiful silver Pharaoh quail named Esmeralda, who has a rare mutation of ruffled feathers under her neck, which sounds really cool.

They were meant to come tomorrow but I just had an email from Australia Post saying they were coming today!

Whoa, this sounds like an amazing mix! Can't wait to see how it goes.

I've done something similar with a deeper bowl and a kitchen towel.

They arrived!! Do I really have to let them rest overnight? I just want to put them in!!

They were packaged very carefully and I was given exactly 12 eggs because of how expensive they are. Really hope there are some pearls in here

You can put them in right away. Don't turn the turner on for 24 hours.

I don't let them rest
The quicker they go in the better.

Are you sure you know the temp and humidity in your Bator? Knowing these 2 numbers will give the eggs a better chance to hatch.

Well, we're at fay zero with no signs of life. The humidity went up a bit, but its up in the house too due to the weather. I tried candling but they are SO small and colored, the light just didn't work. I'll hang in there, but I dont know for how long.
temp and humidity have been pretty steady the whole time.
