You haven't failed. Even when everything is "done right" there will be losses and eggs that don't hatch. It's life.This may not be what everyone want to hear but...how could I possible live with myself having failed at something like this.
Don't try again with eggs from the grocery, start with fresh and healthy eggs from known healthy parents. Even if the baluts had hatched, they could have had health and developmental issues from their handling.
I understand the emotional side of this, I've been following this thread, but starting with eggs of unknown origin just increases the chances that you'll have stress and upset.
I've seen too many threads on here of people having unsuccessful hatches from shipped eggs. It's upsetting.
