They just redid the room I think maybe in the spring? It used to be really dark and depressing lol like ugly dark green carpet, green shutters on the window, big green couch, etc. And I think the walls were like green or grey or something. And low ceiling. Anyway, we raised the entire ceiling/roof and there's beams up there and redid the floor and painted the walls lighter and it looks amazing. The front hall looks way different too. The house has a lot of dark wood paneling and there's these ugly wood arches, they took that out and plastered the walls and painted them a light like gray. It looks wayyyy better and bigger. I really should have gotten before amd after pictures but oh well. As for the kitchen floor, that has been there as long as I can remember and the cabinets are really ugly/broken too and counter. The kitchen will probably be redone eventually along with the rest of the paneling. Oh and there actually used to be another cabinet that was like really low, only like a foot or foot and a half over the counter so it was like having a wall there which made the kitchen smaller plus the fact that there used to be a real wall that stuck out a few feet and was a full wall and I think they made it a half wall and added a little shelf. But I can't remember if it was like that before. I don't think so but idk. It's that wall that the short end of the bed is against.
