I've never lost a single Leghorn and my oldest Leghorns are approaching three years

I started with 4 Ideal Leghorns and 4 Ideal 236 (black spotted leghorns) in May of 2017. Down 2 and about to be down 3. Not sure which since not all the 236 had black spots. Just seems excessive to me. The Barred Rocks and Red hens are still going strong.

Where did you get your Leghorns? Hatchery or local?

Cy, I did give it one more attempt last night with Chef and I got a gruff "Go away".
He's away starting today at one of his AER endurance races in Ohio...so I won't be able to torture him until next week. So get some lines ready for him....although clearly it will not work.

@littleprairieheartsfarm does this chick look like a boy, or girl, or still too early to tell? The one front center. It's the Brahma rooster chick I ordered to hopefully complete my trio. The other two chicks are a blue Wyandotte pullet and a silver laced cockeral who was supposed to be a pullet. The Brahma is two weeks younger than the others.
