➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

These are the babies, I'm really hoping the gray ones turn out to be blue Brahmas. The little partridge on the right is the one that started out with a darker head, the other two had lots of brown on their heads; I think it might be a little boy, or a very bossy girl. It has an upright stance a lot of the time and sometimes seems to challenge me when I reach in to change the water. All of them seem to be about the same height and the combs are starting to show a little more.

Can you take a picture of this one’s comb? I’m a bit suspicious.

I'm still a few months away from having to turn my heater on. I guess now would be a good time to test it to make sure it still works.

Down to a balmy 35 tonight....heater will most likely be on. We have a Nest system. I have no f''''''' clue how to use it. Chef will be texted continuously while away (out of spite).

Okay...while it was rainy and cold this week, I decided to rearrange my 12 X 16 foot sewing/craft room.
I measured all the furniture and made a graph paper floor plan.
Moved everything to the living room, rearranged the furniture and installed three bookshelves (screwed to the studs for strength). I have been folding and sorting all my fabrics to go on the shelves. These fabrics have been in open faced boxes. Still have more to sort.
I set up a central island for my sewing machine, work table and hand quilting station and two storage cabinets.
Sewing notions will be sorted and stowed in the cabinets next.

The bed was on the opposite wall. Still need to put the pillow cases on.

Lots of storage still to fill. The old tv console holds the fabrics for quilt backs and will hold sewing notions and yarn supplies.

Looking from the bed...still have stuff to stow away...

And the Christmas decorations and my soaping supplies will go to the closet.

I'm going to show my Mother this. Her "craft" rooms are hoarder rooms. See Mom, IT CAN BE ORGANIZED!!!
Ugh.

I was just watching what I think were some F-16s practice.
I can't get over how loud they are.
You can almost feel them as they fly over.

Jet noise - the sound of freedom.

Lived around air bases all my life. I still tune it out half the time. Even the sonic booms faded into the background. China closet would rattle and all the guests would jump. We kept on going. Fond memories...

F-16s with blue thunderbirds painted on them?
