If you make $400 and up you are suppose to file a federal tax return.

Like Medicare/Medicaid(I forget which one) and social security are the ones everyone has to pay into.Yep, there's a difference between having to file and having to pay. Most everyone has to file their taxes, but if your under a certain threshold you get all your tax money back. Or you did at some point in time. Every president makes their own tax plan so it is never set in stone.
You will have to pay taxes. There is a lot of good information on Rover in regards to this. Links attached below.

You still have to report ALL income and you will have to pay taxes on it.
Do you see the age?
Ignore this.

Kiki knows taxes/IRS stuffs. Thanks! That’s really helpful! I will have to read those.
I tried that but it was like a survey and I don’t have the info
And huh that sucks lol
Everything I am reading says you don’t under a certain amount? BUT. I then found other articles that said self employed is different than regular employment and is the $400 number Kiki mentioned
It says under 65
Just saw this part
Huh, that makes sense I suppose.
Because most people work a real job...real as in they get a pay check where the SS/Medicare taxes are taken out and paid each check by the employer.
Why does this have to be so confusing!? Literally every single thing I read, even from accountant/tax people websites and companies kept saying you do not have to file under a certain income and age, you do not have to file, do not do not, etc. so I was like okay that’s cool, BUT then I finally found two articles that mention SELF EMPLOYMENT and apparently that is much different than regular employment, which is what all the other articles were referring to, and NO ONE MENTIONED THAT.
Both pretty clearly state not everyone has to file.
