Treating my Priscilla for a case of bumblefoot. Found out it is in BOTH feet. Double ! My poor baby girl. None of the others are showing signs of it. I need to figure out what is causing it. She is in the house tonight. We soaked her feet and hopefully got all of the junk out. The foot that looked worse had a tiny hard core. The one that we discovered in the other foot tonight had a bigger hardened puss pocket instead of what I would call a "core". Either way, we got them both out. Her poor feet bled. We tried to press to flush them out in the hopes that will relieve some of the pressure that she's been feeling. Wiped her off with an alcohol pad, put some triple antibiotic ointment on it (not the kind with a pain reliever in it, just the regular stuff), covered it with a small piece of gauze pad and wrapped her foot. We forgot to pick up any baby aspirin tonight so no pain med for her. I am hoping we caught it early and she will have a speedy recovery.

yeah I gotta do that more!! Although today after I had way too much cake, I dug a ton of holes outside. Pretty deep too and there were tons of roots and some rocks so it was pretty hard going too lol I dug like 4 huge holes. One I then realized was a bad spot to plant after I had already dug a massive hole and had to refill it :/ then the others I planted stuff in 2 holes and the 3rd is to plant something else but I had to go buy another and then it got dark so that will go in tomorrow maybe. Planted my grapes finally lol except I think I possibly accidentally planted them too deep but oh well. Picked up a third grape and a thornless raspberry.

Very true!!! I still have to plant the other grape and the raspberries. My dad planted the blueberries maybe a couple weeks ago. I just hope something takes.

I planted the grape along the chicken run to hopefully give them some shade. Although I didn’t realize how short grapes were?? Checked the package and it only says like 2 feet!! I was hoping they would grow up the sides and over the top of the run. But oh well. Maybe I could plant something else too.

I just put in asparagus crowns at least a month later than I should have. I figured that I'd rather get partial success than wait a year with a prepped bed. I have a lot of rocks around so I can mark the bare spots where nothing comes up and know how many crowns I need to fill the space next February. Fingers crossed the deer don't mow them down. I also grabbed a big sack of onion sets to interplant since nothing around here (except my crazy kids) grazes the wild onions. I thought maybe the smell will put them off. If it doesn't, at least I have onions.

But I’ve been very bad in general today. McDonald’s, cake (so much), pizza, juice, some candy but minimal like a couple pieces. Although the McDonald’s and pizza was NOT my idea. Although I didn’t exactly say no. And the juice was just cause I needed prune juice after all that junk so I wouldn’t get pain (sorry tmi lol) and I washed my sinus formula supplement drop things down in orange juice. Usually iced tea but we ran out. And it would taste disgusting in water or direct on the tongue. So I wash it down with something flavored lol neither of those were anywhere near full glasses, just a splash, but still. When combined with the other food, so much sugar and crap. I might make myself some spinach or a salad or something lol

Peas are always a gamble here. I put some in and they're, oh, 3" tall now. But we can go from finally warm enough to too hot in a very short time and so some years they don't do anything but get turned under for a soil amendment.
