➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Also, after that boot camp, can I also get an at home boot camp/assistance from you guys?? Cause I have a lot I need to do here too. I also need to clean out my chicken coop and there is a lot of stuff in there and I still need to start seeds and plant my garden and of course fence it and get the cattle panel arches up. Then I need to plant the other grape and get a spot set up to plant the raspberry. And possibly set up the pond which will require a gigantic hole. Although I might just rent a backhoe lol and I still need to buy the filter and pump and other such equipment. And I also need to expand the chicken run (but first I need to buy another kennel for it) and put hardware cloth all around/up it and also set up the brooder for the new chicks. And then I need to build the hutch/hutches for the quailies and get hatching eggs. But that is more of a want. Reading that I am realizing I have a lot to do here too and I am exhausted reading it and kind of didn’t realize I had so much to do here :lau

:lau I am wheezing! :lau

But actually that sounds kinda fun lol I want to learn how to put up fences anyway in case we decide to fence our yard (been debating it a while lol) or if I get any goats and also to fence the garden.

As long as I’m allowed to use the phone sometimes and being fed and not overworked :lau
No phones...country cooking....work dawn to dusk!

Your list sounds pretty extensive too.
Rule of thumb...five minute break every hour of work. Vary the activity while working thru those tasks....bending and stooping digging alternated with arms up stretching that wire.
Ooooo a backhoe...work smarter not harder!

That actually sounds kind of nice. I could use a break from technology. Yesterday I sat in the same spot for hours instead of doing what I wanted/meant to and then it was late and time for bed  at least today I did stuff though. Even though I slept until 1:30  got up at 9:30 but fell back asleep as I was up till 2 by the time I showered and stuff. Some real human interaction instead of through a screen might be nice. And oh wow that sounds tiring!! That is a lot of working!! But that is good. Maybe I would actually sleep if I worked that much instead of staying up into the AM on a screen whether TV or phone lol although that said, I think this will take some getting used to. My current schedule is stay up until after midnight (1, 2, or 3am most frequently) then sleep till 10 or 11 or rarely now 12. Then sit on a screen and forget to eat or do anything for hours and don’t get started doing anything until the afternoon or later then do one thing and whoops it’s dark or I’m exhausted or some days, nothing gets done.

Treating my Priscilla for a case of bumblefoot. :barnie Found out it is in BOTH feet. Double :barnie! My poor baby girl. :hit None of the others are showing signs of it. I need to figure out what is causing it. She is in the house tonight. We soaked her feet and hopefully got all of the junk out. The foot that looked worse had a tiny hard core. The one that we discovered in the other foot tonight had a bigger hardened puss pocket instead of what I would call a "core". Either way, we got them both out. Her poor feet bled. We tried to press to flush them out in the hopes that will relieve some of the pressure that she's been feeling. Wiped her off with an alcohol pad, put some triple antibiotic ointment on it (not the kind with a pain reliever in it, just the regular stuff), covered it with a small piece of gauze pad and wrapped her foot. We forgot to pick up any baby aspirin tonight so no pain med for her. I am hoping we caught it early and she will have a speedy recovery. :fl
I wouldn’t give her baby aspirin anyways. She’ll be fine without it, and it’ll be easier for you to visually see her getting better rather than having it masked.

Take your bath at night and go to bed early.
Rise early and work your butt off. Your reward is communing with nature and seeing the progress you have made.
Phone time only after you have done your chores and at least three hours of active work on your list
