➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Your list sounds pretty extensive too.
Rule of thumb...five minute break every hour of work. Vary the activity while working thru those tasks....bending and stooping digging alternated with arms up stretching that wire.
Ooooo a backhoe...work smarter not harder!

Only a 5 minute break after all that work!? :th my current strategy is more like 5 or 10 minutes of work and an hour of break lol or multiple hours and sometimes don’t even get back to the project cause I accidentally stay online too long

and thanks for the tips. That’s helpful.

Take your bath at night and go to bed early.
Rise early and work your butt off. Your reward is communing with nature and seeing the progress you have made.
Phone time only after you have done your chores and at least three hours of active work on your list

Thanks, that sounds like a good idea and a much better way of doing things but idk if I could do it

A paid job is work 4 hrs get a 15 min break.

Since I started going to the store once a month I don't buy as much junk
Try going once a week and buying one or two junk items

Once a month?! I go once or sometimes twice a week because produce doesn't last and two 13 YO boys.
Umm true
It's just me and I freeze a lot in the summer...in the winter I buy frozen veggies and fruit... the 'fresh' is really not very fresh. I read studies that the frozen is more nutritious because it's frozen right away. The fresh is almost a week old by the time it gets to the store in the winter. So I get yellow and green bananas for the first 2 weeks and frozen the rest. Salads too.

That is true. Didn’t think of that. But still. I feel like the physical labor is more tiring anyway.

Thanks, I may try that!! It is just hard because we have soooo many stores around so it is too easy to go whenever I want. And I am always going somewhere daily or at least a few times a week and it’s a different place every time and I usually always pick something up. And also I usually eat it all at once or at least one day  But I could try to have some self control.

I think part of my problem is I am bored and have nothing to do so I think sometimes I drive around all over and/or shop for fun as lame as that sounds and I also listen to my music in my car and like driving around for that. Maybe I just need to get a life.... :lau

But I literally have stores 2 minutes from my house, right down the street, and more like 10-15 mins away either direction (faster if I speed lol). So that does not help. Among the ones literally right down the street are a Dollar Tree, a CVS (though I don’t buy junk there cause it’s expensive but just saying), 2 big grocery stores, 2 gas stations/convenience stores, a Papa Gino’s (pizza), a McDonald’s, 2 Dunkin Donuts (they just built the second one as a stand alone, previous one is inside one of the gas stations. I think that one is closing and becoming something else. But still. For now it’s 2), and soon to be a Starbucks which they are also building although I hate Starbucks. There’s also a bazillion liquor stores including one walking distance but I don’t drink. But just saying there is A LOT of bad stuff around. And then further away there is the mall filled with junk including an Auntie Annies and typical food court stuff and another big outdoor shopping plaza right near that with a million restaurants and fast food, and stores, a huge Walmart, and among the food is Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Panera Bread, DAngelos, Moe’s, Coldstone Creamery, and they just opened a Chipotle and are opening a Chik Fil A. Building it now. And there is another grocery store across the road from this from this plaza. Literally just go to leave it and go through a set of lights into the other plaza. I actually like that store better so maybe I can limit myself to once a week and actually asking if anyone wants or needs something instead of just impulsively going. And our Tractor Supply carries some candy and drinks and stuff but I actually like our local feed store better and they carry the brand I prefer so maybe I will start going there more instead and avoid the other one altogether. Plus the plaza this feed store is in doesn’t have much except BJs which is a pain to go to for one thing and they only sell in bulk. Also the feed store isn’t even in the plaza, it is on the outside of it on the street so I don’t even need to go in. I can just ge try feed and get out fast which I think is ideal. OH!! And also at the plaza like down the street from our house there is also an Ocean State Job Lot which carries just about everything and they are cheap.

Yeah I go way more often

Oh wow that’s so interesting about that study. Didn’t realize that. May have to start buying more frozen food then. And growing my own this year.

when I grew up there was a small store up the road a couple of miles and another about 3 miles. We would go to the next town for most of the shopping. I got in the habit when grown, to just shop once in a while... even though I went by stores going to work. Now it has built up and there are lots of big stores nearby and I am retired. I started after I retired to shop more often. That first summer I realized I was gaining weight and spending a ton of money. I joined a gym instead of shopping and went back to shopping as little as possible. I figure I saved about $200 a month by not buying garbage I didn't need.. of course now I spend half of that on chickens instead

Get some headphones and start walking to the stores! You can still shop, you get exercise, and you know you have to carry home whatever you buy so you're motivated to not get so much.

BTW, I started exercising again and worked up from walking to running. I'm down almost 40 pounds over the past year and back in single digit clothing sizes for the first time since the twins were born. It's the best feeling ever! My eating habits were pretty good already but I was eating more sugar than I should so I'm being more careful about that. My mom has a lot of health problems for someone her age so that kinda freaked me out enough to motivate me. I don't want to be unable to care for myself in 20 years!
