➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

And it just opened up and really started downpouring pretty hard but it’s been raining all night, started like late afternoon/early evening. With kinda waves of lighter or almost non existent/stopped rain and heavier rain. But this is the heaviest it’s been. Really coming down now.

And ignore all the poop but here are my roosting chicks :hit

I disturbed them with the flashlight so they had already moved around a little bit but mostly still roosting ha

Snow the white rock lays in the other nest box ( I have two for 3 hens). Foxtrot and Blue were laying in the nest box Blue is sitting in. I checked under her last night and she had an extra egg from Foxtrot. I think Foxtrot sat on top of her to lay the egg! Silly chickens.
:barnie Well, I don't know what happened, but I can guess one of the other chickens messed with Blue or tried to climb in the nest or something. I checked on the eggs tonight and there was only 2 and a half eggs under Blue. One was whole the other was badly cracked and there was a partial shell. She was sitting in broken egg and one of the eggs had been stuck to her feathers. I shoved her off the nest and I don't think I'm going to let her set again until I have a dedicated space for her to be isolated. The whole egg was covered in yolk and I couldn't see any veins so I'm not giving her the egg back.
