➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Will be spraying the fences and around the equipment and storage piles this morning....weeds are getting snakey and my littles are beginning to free range with the big birds.

We have more rain coming in tonight. The jet stream has been weird this year with many states getting record high amounts of rain.
Lowland critters are moving to higher ground. Saw a fox family in a brush pile in the east pasture...1/8 mile from my chicken pens. Reminds me of a Harry Belafonte song...
"the fox went out on a hunt one night, cried for the moon to give him light...John, John, the grey goose is gone and the fox is on the town oh..."
Hope not my chickens and ducks!

Sure hope everyone has been drying out and flocks and livestock are okay

Short novel...
Hubby had a dr appt today.
Took care of the babies before we left for his appt.
Met his siblings for lunch after.
Moved eggs to the hatcher...due the 12th.
Then I actually took a two hour nap.
Sprayed the edging around the flower beds with weed killer.
Took care of all the birds...feeding and cooping.
Then set another tray of eggs....for a final hatch July 1.
Quick dinner.
Read KD's chicken novels...cute.
And now I'm going to bed.

And thank you, glad you thought so ha

As for drying out... nope lol rain started late last night and been raining pretty hard since.

We're finally drying out. Looks like the next chance of rain for us is a 40% chance on Sunday. Of course, you have to take that lightly. And our temps are going to be in the 70's. :celebrate I'll take it. :yesss:

All of my littles are doing great. They LOVE to hang out in the big coop and roost on the roosting bars as well as the nest box bars. A few have been going inside the boxes and scratched around. They like to get all up in the big girls business while they are in the nest box trying to lay an egg. I guess trying to see how it's done. :gigElvis has been trying to impress them. He will go over to them around their coop and try to call to them and tidbit. A couple girls hesitantly showing interest. Then he tries to two-step for them. They don't stick around too long tho. They are still too young, which is humorous since they are as big, if not bigger, than he is. LOL!

Annabelle is still faithfully sitting. I was concerned with all of the rain but she is doing great! Today is, roughly, day 13. So far, so good. :ya

I haven't been feeling too hot the past couple of days. I don't know if it's a stomach bug or food poisoning. It's been awful. :sick I've been trying to just take it easy as best as I can. Take care all!
