As a Pagan myself there are many different reasons while Pagans would refrain from eating red meat or in fact eating anything on what the Catholics call "Good Friday" As there are an unknown number of different kinds of Pagans religions as unlike the Catholics or Christians you can be Pagan but have completing different believes from one Pagan to the next. Some follow the Nordic Gods/Goddess and so Good Friday is Freda Day. Then there is Ester which is the Celebration of Spring and that is just a starting list, I could go on but yeatrue but I found it odd a pagan would do that
