What is tempo?
It’s a concentrated insecticide that can be used indoors or out. It states to be safe with children and pets after an hour of drying time. I know birds are more sensitive, so we have to be careful, but the fire ants are a guaranteed death sentence so it’s worth the small risk that comes with chemicals. Used properly, it should be fine.

I looked it up.

I've not heard of that brand name before. I noticed a trail of ants yesterday. They need to die...today. I'm actually fixing to head out now to go find something to kill them with.

Fire ants are nothing to mess with
but I hope you don't use this on less deadly insects

I wouldn't worry yet.
Momma's usually get off their nest daily so a cool down isn't too bad in my eyes.
