➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Oh I know I shouldn't force them.
I really know this but do you know how tempting that pip looks? It really looks like it needs to be picked at.

As long as I can see woodpeckering going on in there I'm leaving them be.
If they stop moving in the shell I will panic.

I absolutely know how hard it is!! :gig

You have a magnifying glass? Lay it on top of the window and watch. You can see the membrane hoove up and down. :D

Chef is still in Kentucky...which is why I was able to bake in peace. I can't cook...but I can bake. He just usually takes over the kitchen and my baking projects. I gave up years ago. The fights were getting too out of control (dented stove, dented trash can, broken glasses....hey, I'm Italian, I throw things) :lau

:lau did I write that?!? You sound like me. :lau
:highfive:

Here's a good distraction - the Ranger danger showed up late last night. I won't lie, he's pretty messed up but it appears to mostly be his face. He's pretty swollen around his mouth and nasal passages. There's a lot of kinda bloody ooze around his eyes, but they are both open and fairly clear. I can't find any punctures on his body, but he is, of course, very sore. There may be internal damage from being shaken and bashed against the ground.
Poor guy walked in and hopped up on the couch and started purring. I'm bringing him to the vet as soon as I can get him in. Vets don't open until 8am. Still, so glad he made it home.

Bring on the Balutties!!!
