I am going to let it go because I don't want to breed it.
If you've already given it ND, and it is a warm place with nutritious food available, you've already given it the best chance you can. The rest is up to it.
I missed what happened to it? Rough incubation?
I don’t think all weak chicks turn out to be bad breeders. Depends on the circumstances, so I won’t agree or disagree.
If something external caused it to be weak -- maybe it was malpositioned because of detached air cell or improper turning, etc. --I agree that it would not mean the genetics are flawed. It's hard to know though.
