They thrive and feather quickly.I agree. I don't think those heat lamps give them the opportunity for their little bodies to adjust to environmental temps, which I think slows down their growing. I don't have any scientific data that proves that but from my limited experience that I have had so far, it seems to work out that way. And I don't like how hot they get. Our heat plate doesn't use much in the way of electricity either so that is another nice thing. It works for us.
The style Kiki bought are mor like a freeze dried veggie than oven baked, I think.Don't you just slice raw veggies, coat with olive oil and put them in the oven?
