➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Yay! Glad to hear it! All the places here order from Privett so it is nice to have friends who are familiar with Ideal. And man, how cool do Orloffs look? Can't wait to get mine.
So cool. You will love them. They look like hawks. It's actually kinda funny to have them paling around with the bitty little Hamburgs. They are about as opposite as you can get, but they grew up together so they are are a troupe.

I feel you! Our Australorp rooster is huge, and passes on his height but I always worry about him being on our tiny girls.

Fingers crossed here as well. :fl
Roux is a Cream Legbar, which isn't even that large of a breed, but he is very broad breasted and tall. His sisters look like midgets compared to him.
I also lost a hen last week. Unrelated but it means I am down to only four hens :( I think everyone will be very glad for Roux to have some more ladies to dote on.

Aww how cute! If I didn't have the boy, I would feel much better about mixing sizes. There are so many cool bantam and small-but-still-technically-large-fowl breeds out there! And all my girls are really laid back. But Roux, bless him and his sweet little beret, cannot help his size. He is quite well behaved but I feel better if he is surrounded by beefy gals :D

Probably wise. Enjoy some Katya and Hanna action.

This is why Hans met his demise. He was actually quite friendly towards me, but he would NOT leave the bantams alone and really injured one of my EE hens. I don't care about having a rooster that bad.
If I had it in me to chop his head off, then he’d be gone tomorrow. He’s ridiculously loud, mean, and useless at being a flock guardian.
