She has an entire live plant in her tank.
When she gets a bigger tank I’ll give her more plants and give her current succulent a break.
Rodents are much more work than reptiles, in my opinion.
I would agree. Small mammals have more daily upkeep imo although reptiles have higher upfront costs.
Sounds awesome.![]()
thats exactly how he is. Always taking toys and hiding them in or under the couch. It burrows into the couch and loves a pool noodle
there is a ferret odor but hes not badHaha that’s awesome!! He sounds amazing.
I’ve always wanted a ferret but they (and rodents in general) freak my parents out. Plus I’ve heard they smell really bad??
She gets fresh vegetables every day, so I’m not sure why I’d put myself through the extra work.Although I was thinking more along the lines of sprouting greens to eat like people do for chickens
Since you worried about her eating outside greens lol
Not really, that I know of. Some can learn their name. They’re intelligent though and will learn through conditioning.Although... can you teach reptiles tricks or anything like you can birds and rodents?
I actually think I might be less allergic to reptiles too. I was gonna get gerbils, even have the supplies, but then someone was telling me they’re ridiculously dusty. So I think I would be allergic to that. So I haven’t yet. Course I also just put off buying them/never got to it but now I’m glad I did that cause I found out soon after about the dust.
Chickens are infinitely easier to care for than any rodent/weasel/lagomorph I’ve ever owned. The little furries are all about cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. That makes a lot of sense. They’re definitely a lot of work and I actually found when I had caged animals I was worse about their care than I am about the chickens or animals I have to go outside for which should theoretically be more work. But the chickens are actually super easy haha
Do leopard geckos need the UVB bulb or just a heat bulb/mat?
there is a ferret odor but hes not bad
I went on vacation in the 90s and had good friends checking the cat and ferrets.
A few days after I got home I couldn't find my checkbook. I was wondering if they moved it. I finally found it in a hole in the underside of the couch, with a dead smelly mouse I was looking for.
Ferrets aren’t rodents.Haha that’s awesome!! He sounds amazing.
