➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Mmm. Lamb.
Went for dinner at my parents house and we had a whole feast. Lamb chops (aussie staple), roast, sausage.. I’m stuffed.

When we got there I went to give Triumph some love, as usual. He wouldn’t get off of his bed and when he rolled over for belly rubs he started screaming in pain. He screamed several more times while trying to roll onto his back and adjust himself. It broke my heart. It was horrible. He can’t lift his head or walk very well. His back is arched like a cat and he has a knot in his shoulder from having to compensate. I don’t know how many days he’s been like this; I’m trying not to deflect certain emotions onto my family. I think he might be staying with hubby and I from now on. Permanently.
Anyway.. I’m fairly sure he has slipped a disk and we took him home with us. He is in a world of pain right now.
I’m calling the A&M clinic first thing in the morning. I wasn’t a huge fan of the last vet we took him to, the one that prescribed the pain killers and did his dental work. I felt like he totally disregarded my requests for cancer screening or any sort of deeper diagnosis, and found him a little disrespectful in general. I appreciate pain management but I want to know what I’m dealing with.
So I’m out for answers this time. X-rays, CT, MRI.. whatever they think is most effective and cost efficient within reason.
Anywayx2, I’m rambling because I’m nervous and it’s really tearing me up seeing him like this. Wish him luck.. Hope we get an early appointment and a good doctor.
Sure hope Triumph gets the helps quickly! I hate to see an animal in discomfort and appreciate your desire to get him help from a caring vet. Prayers for you and Triumph and hugs for you both.

Sorry :lau

If you saw my health app stats for the last couple weeks I think you’d pass out :lau

Tuesday was pretty high though because I walked the dogs then went to a concert and walked back and forth from the hotel to the venue and walked around the venue a bunch.

But even so it still wasn’t super high.

I get more than 7000 taking care of the poultry and the dog. But I don't have it setup so it's automatic.

That is awesome!! Sounds really nice!! We have a similar thing here I think but not nearly as long or as nice. But we do have town and state forests and tons of nice areas to walk from right outside my door. I should really be taking advantage of it.

How the heck is that possible? I get more steps than that in a day when I have the flu.

Cause I sit most of the time.

My dad does too. We really need to start walking. Or at least me.

Sometimes I don’t even check them every day.

They have a big 5 gallon bucket for water and a big feeder so it lasts a while. But I’ve been going out there more often lately. Trying to check them daily and collect the eggs multiple times a day or at least once a day.
