What's the difference in taste between chicken and duck eggs? I've never had duck before

If you were to cook a duck egg in a frying pan.... the white part cooks up a little thicker than a chicken egg. The yolk is thicker as well, and of course there is more of it. Because of the thicker consistency, I find it to be richer and creamier. Think of it like a gravy that you thicken with a little cornstarch. Some people enjoy it, some don't because of that. Because the whites are thicker, if you overcook the egg it can be a little rubbery. Kinda like if you overcook shrimp. To me it's still edible but is so much better when cooked properly. If that makes sense. That is my view of duck eggs.

It started with finding these silicone egg trivet/holders that were clearanced off at Walmart for $7. So we grabbed 2 of them.

Website that I used:

I found a recipe online that is using them, although they are using chicken eggs. Their directions say to use 9 eggs, sitting upright, leave that middle hole empty. Put in 1 cup of water. Set for 5 minutes on the "Egg Option" if yours has it or if it doesn't, use the Steam option on High Pressure. While the eggs are cooking, prepare an ice bath. In a bowl, combine a trayful of ice cubes and 2 cups of water. When the countdown ends and the cooking program is finished, let the pressure release naturally for another 5 minutes, then move the Pressure Release to its Venting position to release the remaining steam from the pot. Open the pot. Using a pair of tongs, transfer the eggs from the pot into the ice bath. Leave the eggs in the ice bath until cooled.

So nothing very different from normal. As for me and the duck eggs, I cooked for 1 minute longer, so for 6 minutes. I mean, are you saving a TON of time by doing them this way? A little. If you have a big enough pot that can boil a ton at a time.... is it worth it? It's just another option really. This is like the 3rd time that I've used it. LOL.
I did 6 dz chicken eggs last spring. Just stacked on top of each other in a 12qt electric pc. I did a total natural release. The brown of the shell went into the white...but they were easy to peel

We went with my MIL to a reptile convention yesterday. She bought me a new pet. 🥰
It's a little baby orchid mantis.

In return I killed one of her hens for her.
It was one of mine that I gave her after hurricane Harvey destroyed my coop. She had been sickly for some time and I suggested culling and starting the rest on tylan 50. She asked if I could do it after dinner and now FIL is calling me the grim reaper.

Anyway. Still waiting for a coronavirus update. The death toll is rising.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with this chick... I know it's blind in 1 eye, but why are it's eyelids like this?

It's not from my flocks eggs, but I'd like to know it's survival chances. I feel sad for it, I know that sounds ridiculous 🙈

Most likely due to poor genetics caused by inbreeding. If it was mine, I would have culled it to make sure it does not get into anyone's breeding program.
