It could but if it really is poor genetics, it may not lay enough eggs to be worthwhile and in order to make sure its genetics don't get passed along, it is necessary to positively know which eggs it laid so they don't get incubated.Would there be a way to separate it from my flock? If it's a Pullet, it could still lay good eggs, correct?
It is just not worth it to waste feed and care on a bird that has poor genetics.
