You should have a thermometer in there. I think that you should cover the water from escaping that is why I said water bottles or soda bottles.How would I know if the temp was dropping? I can see if we can heat some water up, we made a emergency rush to Walmart and got some more charcoal for the grill I'll see if I can get some water heating in there, do you think I could maybe put some coffee mugs in there and put the hot water in the mugs? I have a tea kettle we can use to heat the water in, would the water maybe spike humidity and drown the babies? Or do you think they will be fine, or is that why I need to use bottles so I can keep the water from evaporating? Sorry for the questions we didnt think it would get this bad, but the power had been going on and off all morning since 5 and then around 8 it was completely gone...

You can also use those hand warming packs that hunters put in their pockets to warm their hands. You would find them in the hunting section at Walmart. They are called Hot Hands
