How would I know if the temp was dropping? I can see if we can heat some water up, we made a emergency rush to Walmart and got some more charcoal for the grill I'll see if I can get some water heating in there, do you think I could maybe put some coffee mugs in there and put the hot water in the mugs? I have a tea kettle we can use to heat the water in, would the water maybe spike humidity and drown the babies? Or do you think they will be fine, or is that why I need to use bottles so I can keep the water from evaporating? Sorry for the questions we didnt think it would get this bad, but the power had been going on and off all morning since 5 and then around 8 it was completely gone...
You should have a thermometer in there. I think that you should cover the water from escaping that is why I said water bottles or soda bottles.

I am sorry that you are going through this.

You can also use those hand warming packs that hunters put in their pockets to warm their hands. You would find them in the hunting section at Walmart. They are called Hot Hands

And if it helps any my incubator is a Nuture Right 360... that's what I was using this time it was a brand new miracle it has been great!
@CluckNDoodle Has a bunch of the NR 360's or at least one... I will let her chime in because I am used to the Farm Innovator 4250.

Ok thank you! I know what Hot Hands are and I thought about that but it's a pity I didnt think about that when we were at Walmart! And nothing in our town is open we had to go to a bigger town. We also have a propane cooker, as soon as I find some bottles I'll get to working on heating that incubator!

I actually found two Hot Hands in the cabinet I activated them and put them in the middle of the incubator I took the egg-turner out for now. Since I don't have a good heat source is it ok if I dont turn them? I'm fixing to go put at least one hot water bottle in there to. I'll also try my best to find a thermometer

Well I'm gonna try and keep stuff on hand now when I start incubating just in case something like this happens😂

I have random stuff I’ll never use unless I’m hatching. Shelf grip liner is something I always have for my incubator.
