There are 3 left chirping inside the egg. They have been this way for hours and getting nervous.

I bought a new incubator. I wanted to try it out on inexpensive eggs first before I try it out on BCMs. This is day three. My first incubator did not have a turner or automatic anything. paid $25 for it used. My new incubator has a fan, hygrometer and digital thermometer. Just seems so lazy to me. but I like it. seventeen mutt eggs in the incubator do to hatch the week after labor day.

I just had 2 Amerucanas hatch 3 more piped and nothing on 2 others hatch day is tomorrow, also have 3 piped out of 7 BCMs due to hatch tomorrow. I

And 1 BCM just hatched

Long day! looks like final tally is 9:13. 3 late hatchers just now still in the incubator. They got dried out from the previous chicks hatching and had to release their membranes for them so they can push themselves out.

The eggs came from quality breeder & I asked for an assortment. Trying to match their chick colors to adult and looks like 2 silvers, 1 tuxedo, 1 red breasted, 1 pure white, 1 blue face (one of the late hatchers) and 1 white winged pied. Can't ID the other 2 still in the incubator.

There are 4 eggs unhatched and don't think they will hatch since cannot hear anything nor see any PIPs, but will leave them in the incubator and wait a bit longer to make sure.

So getting the new incubator was a good thing to do and has produced the best in all the three times I have incubated eggs. At least for me it was a good choice because I'm new at this and needed the additional automation and also I don't want to have to totally babysit the bator. I am going to use the old bator overnight for these guys, then situate them tomorrow. Am really really exhausted. Will post pics tomorrow. Been a very long day indeed.

looks like i might get a 100% hatch............ just 1 more egg to zip and we are done
