The one that had stuff come out, is in hatcher with only one other egg, and is very alive and pipped(due tomorrow). No smell on any of them. This is the dead one I pulled last night, and that green I saw in another egg that still had strong veining and movement. But I've decided to pull it this morning to not risk anything. Its so odd to meView attachment 2266451and this is the one currently hatching, (which when candled before lockdown is when I noticed a green tinge) but the photos not really showing green stuffView attachment 2266453

Ok.... aug is going to be fun at my house! I ordered some of the Delaware broilers to ship the week of aug 10th and we are hatching this Saturday, aug 1st. All home grown mixes( I hope lots of blue necked necks). Oh and plan to set some more chicken eggs sunday or monday to hatch with my muscovy due Aug 21st!
:woot

I seem to remember hatching ducks and having similar stuff left in the egg.... babies seemed fine? Still alive 5 months later?? So maybe not a bad thing??
Thats good to know. That's what I was wondering. I just can't say I've noticed it before now, always just that whitey gooey stuff. Glad yours are doing well it gives me hope for mine

Mine were nothing special just backyard ducks but it seems like it was only the ducks that had the extra excess goo???
Best of luck.
Hatching the ducks was the fun part I just didnt like brooding them.... yuck lol
