You should be! What I'm getting from following all the action in the hatch-a-longs and other threads it seems to me that getting chicks from shipped eggs is about like winning the lottery! Congratulations!Ta da! My shipped eggs chicks! Only three but I am so happy!
Did you try the cup of rice yet?Humidity has dropped to 49% after I removed some eggs from the incubatorthe spike in humidity must be due to how many eggs are in the incubator.
Iām guessing if I removed more it would drop again.
Humidity at 49% still isnāt great but itās far better than 57%!
Did you try the cup of rice yet?
Or a sock with rice... or anything with rice
What are you doing with them all? While I didn't hatch them due to packing up for the move, I did put in the brooder 39 out of 40 chicks hatched out on the 12th. And they were thirsty, they drank for half an hour, pushing each other out of the way to get to the waterers.

Someone in a previous hatch a long put dry sponges in the incubator, to redry them he/she toasted them in the oven. They needed to be very dry.Yes I did, I put half a bag of rice in there and it still stuck at 56-57%was in there for 2 days.
Humidity only dropped when I removed some of the clear eggs.
