Next Wednesday night, the forecast is a low of 38° and the lowest in the coming 8 days. The hives are in a valley, and cold air definitely settles down there, so frost would not surprise me at all. Mid-October is about when we get out first frost, so right about average timing.

Calling for a low of 39 this coming Thursday which will be more like 35. low 80s Mon Tue then in the 60s 70s. Bees will still be flying strong the later part of the days. Still taking syrup voraciously.
