🐝💗Our Backyard Beekeeping Journey!💗🐝

We're getting 4-7 inches of snow, or maybe more, or maybe less, today/tonight. While I was on my walk, I stopped to look at the beehive. Nobody was out, of course. I said, "Stay warm, girls. See you in a few months."
That should make your husband happy...lol

So dry cold is like dry heat?
Dry is always better than humid.

I grew up in SW PA. The coldest I remember it getting was -6⁰F. I will gladly take -20⁰F here over -6⁰F there.

Humidity makes my arthritis feel much worse.

It was a pretty nice day today. The bees were out and about a little. Hubs wanted to see if they were utilizing the sugar blocks. They were.

This is Hive #2, one of the nuc's.

Looks like they're working the block over pretty good. Made up 3 feeder shims today with 10 lbs sugar in each now drying.

Yeah they're doing a good job on it.
Is that your first or second batch? Sorry, my brain can't remember...lol
