Have followed this forum for a while ,but just now joined. I found you guys on pintrest. We recently got our first 13 chickens about 5 weeks ago. We are looking for our forever land,but have started our homesteading journey on our 1 acre lot until we do. Since I'm a new chick mama, I have so many questions,advice on coop Dimensions, etc. We are currently building our coop for our girlie's. We went with the little tikes idea because I love repurposing things. It may seem small,but we have limited space,but the run and house is little over 100 square feet, raised on a platform for maximum area use,instead of doing nesting boxes on the window we are putting it on the same platform but to the side very spacious room to itself in low traffic area for their privacy lol. Right now I'm trying to figure out poop board Dimensions for this type of coop. So any help would be amazing. I've already found some amazing things from u guys. Can't wait for more.

UPDATED: photos added. Got the platform built, started securing the inside of the coop,and this is the entire area for the run. Will add more as we progress!

Hi! We are on a homesteading journey as well! Right now we live right in the middle of town but still managed to get a little coop with 4 girls! We are also looking for land but the market where I’m at really stinks. Good luck to you!

If understood correctly, you have a total of 10sq foot for the coop and run.
That is not nearly enough space for 13 chickens. A little tikes house is under 9sq ft. I don't see how 13 hens will fit in that.
Do you intend to sell some of the birds?
