1 cockerel 3 pullets?

Yeah, it’s definitely a Cockerel. (Also, if you want to order non-straight-run chickens, my local hatchery checks the gender...)
I can get them at Wilco too. I wasn't necessarily in the market for more chicks, but had a broody hen I wanted to allow to sit on some eggs. So, it doesn't really matter what I get. I need a rooster for my flock and having more than one to start with might be good. I don't have great luck with finding nice roosters. I'll set up a bachelor pad far away from the hens and introduce them one at a time. May the best cockerel win. I don't actually like to eat cockerel, so I will find homes for the other two. Hopefully the BO will work out.

Ah, okay. Hope he works out!

The lavenders possibly 1 cockerel and 2 pullets, I had a lavender Orpington pullet grow her comb and wattle faster than my cockerel so much so at first I thought she was a cockerel. My cockerel finally surpassed her after 3 more weeks.

2 cockerels and 2 pullets would be perfect for me, especially if I had both a lavender and buff cockerel. I sure hope you are right! :fl

I'm going with 2 cockerels and 2 pullets. The one lavender I suspect most are thinking could be a boy, the comb is slightly larger than the pullet, but in the last picture it is pale and much smaller than the obvious cockerel. I'm leaning towards cockerel for the bo. Smaller comb than the lav, but much redder with some decent wattles. (Although I have had girls pop their combs and wattles early and keep me guessing)
